Setlost was a Global Game Jam entry that I worked on in a team of five over the course of forty-eight hours. In addition to my rigging and animating role on the project, which I performed using 3D Studio Max, I also had a hand in the game’s design.
Though we had a lot of ideas planned, many of them never saw the light of day. The premise of the game is that you’re a spelunker that must find their way out of a dark cave before their light fades, which is represented by a limited number of “steps” the player can take. The cave in question is a labyrinth, and within its corridors lurks a giant, hostile monster that doesn’t like guests. That monster is what I rigged, skinned, and animated on the project—it was a really fun job!
